This website was created by a group of dog lovers and rescue workers, concerned about the growing crisis caused by Staffordshire Bull Terriers and their crossbreeds, in rescue centres throughout the UK.
The current, huge popularity of Staffordshire Bull Terriers has lead to 'puppy farmers', unscrupulous breeders & some members of the public breeding vast numbers for a quick profit and now rescue centres are overflowing with this type of dog and their crosses.
The full Staffords have breed rescue championing their cause but Staffordshire Bull Terrier crossbreeds have no one.
Many Staffy crosses end up in pounds where, if they are not claimed within 7 days, they are Put To Sleep.
This website is dedicated to drawing public awareness to this problem and we hope you find it both informative and helpful.
Staffycross.org has received a huge amount of support from a variety of people, in many walks of life. One such person is singer/songwriter John Webb who has very kindly allowed us to use his song, "Just Listen" to accompany the Flash movie below.
